It's important to understand that Cheap-Hotels.com is a price comparison service, and that the actual booking is made through our partner websites like hotels.com and priceline.com. You will not be charged for your entire booked tenure if you cancel your reservation. Every Hotel has a specific cancellation policy and refund of the payment/charges is as per the private policies of the hotel. In order to cancel your reservation, you can contact the Hotel reservation desk or booking company you made the reservation through and quote your name, reservation dates and other necessary details sent to you in the confirmation mail. You can also send in a written cancellation request through fax/email quoting the details.
In case I cancel my reservation, what will be my credit card charged?
There will no charges made to your credit card in case you cancel your reservation a certain number of days before the actual stay dates. The details for the payment shall be mentioned in the Cancellation Policy Section of the Reservation Confirmation from the hotel or booking company. In some cases where an initial deposit has already been collected (which is usually nominal charge), it might be forfeited as a cancellation charge.

How do I know that my booking has been cancelled?
After you have cancelled a reservation, you will be given an acknowledgement usually in the form of an email from the Hotel stating clearly that your reservation made prior for the dates specifies has been cancelled. This email shall also consist of any information about the charges borne by you. In case you do not receive an acknowledgement of your cancellation within 48 hours of your cancellation, please write to the concerned Hotel asking for one.
